What WhatsApp Web is
WhatsApp Web lets you use the WhatsApp account on your phone from a web browser on a computer. It’s not a separate account: the computer becomes a “linked device” of your phone. You read and send the same chats, with a bigger screen and a real keyboard. It lives at one address only: https://web.whatsapp.com.
What you need
- Your phone, with WhatsApp already working on it
- A computer with an up-to-date web browser
- An internet connection on both, while you log in
There’s no password to remember. You log in by linking the computer from your phone.

Three rules to remember
- Check the address. Only log in at web.whatsapp.com.
- Codes never go to other people. Don’t share a WhatsApp code, and never scan or type a code someone sends you.
- Log out when you leave a computer that isn’t yours.
